WOW…WOW stands for Women of Worth. We are an outreach ministry that believes changing the world comes from changing one woman at a time. In the first 24 weeks that we have been opened we have had 16 unchurched people pass through our doors and have had 13 home school moms and children in addition to that number.
We are targeting the Bowling Lane and nearby community. We will be having a Community Garden, Summer Concert Series, and a Food Fight to raise money for human trafficking awareness while supporting Amirah House of Boston, a faith based safe house for victims.
Our objectives are to build a community of women that will support and teach each other skills and traditional Christian values. We hope to become a beacon of hope and light in the community, and if they seek deeper understanding of Christ to direct them to a local church body.
The workshops are designed to build skill and problem solve for certain issues that are individual to women. WOW gives a platform for women to display her God given talents and to develop new ones. Monthly we have an Elderly Compassion Project , Crocheting for a Cause, and Exercise Event that we bring in canned goods for a family that could benefit.
Daily we open with S.W.A.T. , a time to share what the Lord has been speaking to you through His word in the last 24 hours. SWAT stands for Sharing His Word Accountability Training. Encouraging women to seek His face daily through his word. During our sharing times the Holy Spirit has moved and convicted many, as well as encouraged.
The benefits of this outreach are far reaching. We have heard people say that something they have learned they have shown to their children or grandchildren. It has added to their family bonding, and uncovered gifts in the next generation as well. We are in the building up of women business …that is what we are at WOW…. changing the world one woman at a time...we covet your prayers as we venture out into the community.
