 Matthew 27:50-51
“Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,” This was the sound of victory! Jesus defeated sin at the cross and set captivity into freedom! This means that all of creation, by simply mixing faith with Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross, can be reconciled to God. Matthew 28:1-2 “Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.” This is the sound of Freedom and Hope being restored. The earth quaked, the stone was rolled away, and life was new again! The Resurrected Jesus Christ was alive and all Hope and Faith was justified! Acts 2:2 “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.” This is the sound of God's people receiving power when the Holy Spirit came upon them! This was the explosive power released from Heaven to equip the Church to be His witness on the earth. Nothing's changed - there is a sound from Heaven available right now! Can you hear it ? Are you listening? The Lord said “ask and it will be given to you”. What are you waiting for? Ask, the Lord is longing to give you ears to hear. This is the Good News! For all who ask, He will give, and the results will be the same; You will gain victory over sin and death, you will receive new life and the power to equip you for every good work! Blessings!!  Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NLT
"Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” What a promise for all those who choose to mix faith with this Word. His heart is always beating for you! His thoughts are always about you and they outnumber the sand on the earth. His desire is to grant unto you a Hope and a Future. The only thing He is asking in return is that we honor Him and mix Faith with His Word. Remember if God is for you, then who can be against you? According to the Word of God, there is no weapon that can be formed against us and prosper!! This verse goes on to say, “this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.” Choose Jesus and all He did on the cross and you will never be the same again!! Blessings to all.  As I sit here preparing for my message this Sunday, I am compelled to write down this thought - The Lord wants to grant to anyone who is willing to call on the Name of his Son Jesus Christ 'faith that demands an answer'! If there is one thing we need now more than ever it's sustaining Faith!
In the Bible there was a man named Jacob. He was a man who lived his life acquiring things through deception and manipulation. One day he encountered God in a dream and when the dream had ended, he woke up saying, "surely God was in this place and I did not know it." This dream/encounter with God was so tangible and real to Jacob, that he vowed to honor God with the rest of his life. What a journey it was! ** Jacob experienced restoration and forgiveness with his brother who hated him and wanted to kill him. ** Jacob experienced God's provision, protection and power!! At one point in Jacob's journey he had a wrestling match with God. The Bible says he wrestled all night long. Nothing was going to stop Jacob from getting his blessing, not even a dislocated hip. The end result of Jacob's wrestling match was a new name/identity. He was no longer Jacob the deceiver who was in the presence of God and did not know it! He was Israel, the one who went toe to toe and face to face with God and lived. My prayer for all of us in this time is that the One True God who rules over the Heavens and the earth, would grant unto all who will call on the Name of His only begotten Son Jesus, "sustaining and enduring faith to defeat this enemy called "COVID-19" and all its destruction."
